ABU DHABI: Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, held separate phone calls with India’s Minister of External Affairs Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar and Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar.
According to the reports, during the discussions, Sheikh Abdullah praised both countries for agreeing to a ceasefire, describing it as a wise and constructive step that would serve the interests of both nations, their peoples, and the broader South Asian region.
He expressed hope that the move would enhance regional security and stability and reiterated the UAE’s strong, historic ties with both India and Pakistan.
Sheikh Abdullah emphasized the UAE’s support for ongoing peace and development efforts, highlighting dialogue as the key to resolving disputes and strengthening bilateral relations.
